Contractors with the City of Richardson will begin construction of storm drainage infrastructure on Main St. starting this weekend, Feb. 8-9. The construction will require a portion of Main St. between McKinney St. and Interurban St. to close.
Crews will be moving two 6 ft. by 7 ft. storm sewer boxes across the eastbound lanes of Main St. The weekend project will take between 30 to 40 hours to complete. The construction is part of the Main Street redevelopment project.
Residents are advised to use W. Polk St. as an alternative route during the closure.
Main St. is expected to reopen on Monday, Feb. 10.
This weekend’s construction project is weather permitting.
