RICHARDSON - People visiting the Eisemann Center will now find new signs throughout the facility encouraging them to wear masks and practice social distancing. It’s an effort to help keep everyone safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It’s been many, many hours of consensus building among staff as well as looking at all the resources we have nationally, and internationally about what people are doing and trying to see what works for us and to be able to follow, also what our specific state, county and city mandates,” said Philip Nelson, administrative and events manager at the Eisemann Center.
Increased safety features are in place including adjusted seating in performance venues and CDC-specified measures to clean and sanitize the building. A hand sanitizer station is located at the front entrance where staff will scan tickets through a plexiglass shield and color coding on tickets and near doorways will direct people to their assigned door and section to limit interaction.
In addition, there will be no intermission, valet parking, concessions or merchandise sales.
On Sunday Aug. 2, the Eisemann Center will host its first event in several months, the Miss Dallas and Miss Dallas Teen Pageant. It will be held in the Hill Performance Hall at 3 p.m. Visit www.eisemanncenter.com for tickets and to read about the Eisemann Center’s COVID-19 response.
