Steward Health Care, the largest private for-profit hospital operator in the US, is moving many of its top brass from Boston to Dallas. Outside of downtown Dallas, they’ll be taking up 135K sq ft of within four buildings at Galatyn Commons in a lease.
The infrastructure consortium EdgeCore Internet Real Estate is planning to build a $1 billion data center in Richardson in a 900K sq ft building on 33 acres at Shiloh Rd. and George Bush.

Mike Skelton (left) from the Mayor’s Office of International Business at the Chamber has moved to a part-time schedule and enjoying a step toward retirement. He is still ably representing our international efforts and new staff member, Beth Kolman, is picking up some of his responsibilities.

The Richardson Police Department presented a plaque recognizing the Chamber’s work in putting on the remembrance and honor event for police and fire heroes from the tragic event in February. Ten officers and two firefighter/paramedics honored. See Chamber news story.
Installation of the new high-tech art piece on 75 south of EastSide and north of Collins has visibly made an appearance.
Also, the new public safety campus on Greenville north of Beltline is forming and confirming its size. The site will feature the redesign, renovation and replacement of facilities including Fire Station 1 and the Police Station, as well as the installation of public art pieces. The site is expected to be completed in fall 2019.
